What we do

What an AI consultant does
for a business

An AI consultant should be able to look at one slow process, say whether software or AI can take it over, and then build it. That is how we work.

01

Find the work worth automating

We start with the routine work that eats staff time: sorting email, moving details from forms into a system, chasing follow-ups, assembling reports. We walk through how it happens today, who touches it, and what a good result looks like. Some of it suits AI, some of it is ordinary software, and some of it should stay with a person.

02

Decide where AI belongs

AI is useful for reading and sorting email, drafting replies that wait for approval, pulling details out of documents and forms, summarising, and turning calendar and system data into a readable brief. It does not make final decisions, sign anything off, or touch work you have told us should stay manual.

03

Build it, then check it

We are builders as well as advisers. When a change makes sense, we write the scope, build a working version, test it on the workflows we agreed, and measure the outcomes chosen with you. Not everything we build uses AI. Sometimes the right answer is a booking system or a dashboard with no AI in it.

The first conversation

The free AI
Checkup, explained

The AI Checkup is a roughly one-hour review of one process. It is free, and you do not need to hand over account access or client files for the first conversation.

What to bring

Pick one process that costs time or causes mistakes. Common choices are a shared inbox, client intake, appointment scheduling, or a weekly report someone assembles by hand. Bring the person who does it. We ask who is involved, which tools are in use and what a useful result would be.

What you leave with

A clear view of whether the process is worth automating, what part a person should keep, and roughly what a build would involve. If a project makes sense, we follow up with a written proposal. If it does not, we say so, and you have spent an hour. There is no obligation either way.

Scope and support

What advice costs and
what support costs

The first conversation is free. If you want us involved after it, that runs monthly. Build pricing sits on our custom software page, because it depends entirely on what gets built.

01

The advice on its own is free

The AI Checkup is free and you can stop there. The notes are yours, and plenty of owners take them away and fix the process with the tools they already pay for. Nothing is invoiced for a first conversation and nobody chases you afterwards.

02

Ongoing support from USD $500 per month

If you want us to stay involved, the AI retainer starts at USD $500 per month and covers broader automation and AI assistant setup, upkeep and improvements. You get a point of contact and a monthly review where we look at what ran, what broke and what to change next.

03

Where build pricing lives

A one-off build is scoped and priced on its own, and our custom software page explains how that quote is put together and what it has to cover. If email is the process in question, the Managed Inbox pilot has a page of its own as well.

How we judge it

How we tell a software problem from
an AI problem

Most of the answer comes from one question: what happens when the output is wrong, and who notices?

Work AI can carry

Reading, sorting, drafting, extracting and summarising are safe to hand over, because a person still reads the result before it counts for anything. Volume is what makes them worth automating at all. At ten enquiries a week nobody needs help, but at a hundred the sorting is where the day goes.

Work a plain rule does better

A good share of what gets called an AI problem is a scheduling rule, a form that writes into the right record, or a reminder that fires on a date. Those cost less to build, less to run, and anyone on your team can check them. We say so when that is the answer, even when the AI version would have been the larger project for us.

What the written scope has to settle

Before anything is built, the scope names the deliverable, the timeline, the access we need, who owns the result, how any AI output is checked, and what support looks like afterwards. Reading that document is the last cheap moment to change your mind.

Common questions

What people ask before
booking a checkup

Do we need an AI consultant, or just better software?

Often it is better software. A booking tool that matches how people work, a form that writes into the right record, or a report that assembles itself will fix more Monday mornings than a model will. AI earns a place when the work involves reading, sorting, drafting or summarising at a volume a person cannot keep up with, and the checkup is where we tell you which one you have.

How do you decide what is safe to automate?

We ask what happens when the output is wrong. Reading, sorting and drafting are low risk because a person still checks the result. Final decisions, anything that needs a signature, and anything you have told us must stay manual are left with people. Draft emails wait for approval unless you decide otherwise.

Do you only advise, or do you build it as well?

Both, and stopping at the advice is a normal outcome. If you do ask us to build, ownership is settled in writing before anything starts, so the proposal says what you hold at the end, what we host, and what happens if you move on. Our custom software page covers how those builds are scoped and quoted.

Where are you, and do you work remotely?

Yes. Our base is Vancouver, Canada, and the work runs over video calls and shared screens rather than in person. Use the form on this page and we reply within one business day.
